The maker of MongoDB, a schemaless, document-oriented NoSQL database. It also offers MongoDB Atlas, a managed cloud version. Founded in 2007 as '10gen,' the company originally ran a PaaS business, but the database it had built internally for that product turned out to be the popular part -- so in 2013 it renamed itself MongoDB Inc. after that database.
