A table holding measurable numeric data -- revenue, counts, and so on -- associated with multiple dimension tables. Each row is designed to correspond to a single fact at a specific grain -- like 'this many units of this product sold at this store on this day' -- and deciding what that grain should be is considered one of the most important decisions in data modeling.
