A setup where the same IP address is assigned to DNS servers at multiple locations, automatically routing users to the nearest one.
This applies anycast addressing to make DNS servers more redundant and responsive. It avoids a single point of failure while routing lets queries automatically reach a geographically nearby server, and it's commonly used to improve the availability and response speed of authoritative DNS servers.
