A switch security feature that permits DHCP responses only from a legitimate server, filtering out rogue DHCP servers.
It prevents attacks where a malicious DHCP server is connected to the internal network and hands out false configuration information, such as a rogue default gateway. Ports are configured as either "trusted" or "untrusted."
