A protocol that automatically bundles multiple physical links into a link aggregation.
Short for Link Aggregation Control Protocol. A standard protocol (IEEE 802.3ad) that negotiates with a peer device to automatically bundle multiple physical links into a single logical link. It has active and passive modes; if both sides are left passive, negotiation never starts, so at least one side must be set to active.
