A representative protocol used for communication between the controller and switches in SDN.
A representative standard protocol that lets an SDN controller directly manipulate a switch's flow table. Each entry in the table pairs a match condition with an action -- forward, drop, rewrite, and so on -- and the switch processes an incoming packet according to the action of the first entry it matches.
