A Wi-Fi frequency band with less interference and higher speed, but weaker against obstacles.
A frequency band offering more available channels and suited to high-speed communication, but more directional than 2.4GHz and more attenuated by obstacles. On channels that overlap with weather radar frequencies, devices are required to support DFS (Dynamic Frequency Selection), which automatically switches to a different channel when it detects radar signals.
