Short for Multiple-Input Multiple-Output. A technology that uses multiple antennas for spatial multiplexing, improving throughput and communication quality. An extension called MU-MIMO (multi-user MIMO) sends separate streams to different devices at the same time, boosting real-world throughput in crowded environments with many connected devices.
