A method that encrypts DNS queries using HTTPS.
Short for DNS over HTTPS. A method that sends and receives DNS queries encrypted over HTTPS, preventing eavesdropping and tampering. Because it travels over HTTPS (port 443) rather than ordinary DNS (port 53), it can unintentionally slip past enterprise firewalls that monitor or control DNS traffic -- a downside often raised about the protocol.
