An Ethernet frame larger than the standard 1500 bytes.
A frame exceeding the standard MTU of 1500 bytes. Used between supporting devices, such as within a data center, to increase throughput. Sizes around 9000 bytes are common, but if any device along the path doesn't support jumbo frames, it can instead cause fragmentation or dropped packets.
