An IPv6 address range intended for use within an organization, not advertised over routes on the internet. Corresponds to an IPv4 private address. It's allocated from fc00::/7, but in practice almost all use falls under fd00::/8, which includes a randomly generated global ID that keeps two organizations from accidentally choosing overlapping ranges.
