Short for Wi-Fi Protected Access 3. The current wireless LAN security standard, improving on WPA2's vulnerabilities. It adopts a stronger key-exchange method (SAE). Because SAE exchanges keys without ever sending the password itself over the air, it's much more resistant to the offline dictionary attacks that plagued WPA2.
