ARP Spoofing

English

Overview

An attack technique that maliciously redirects traffic using forged ARP replies.

Details

An attack that sends forged ARP replies to misdirect another device's traffic toward the attacker, enabling eavesdropping or tampering. A common countermeasure is Dynamic ARP Inspection (DAI), a switch feature that permits only legitimate IP-to-MAC address pairings on each port.
