English

Overview

A technology that lets a single router hold multiple independent routing tables.

Details

Short for Virtual Routing and Forwarding. A technology that configures multiple virtual routing tables on a single physical router, separating routes per tenant. Because each tenant gets its own independent table, two tenants can even use overlapping private IP address ranges and still coexist safely on the same physical router.
