A queuing method that allocates bandwidth fairly across flows.
Short for Weighted Fair Queuing. A queuing algorithm that assigns weights to each flow and then allocates bandwidth fairly based on those weights. Giving every flow an equal weight makes it behave like plain fair sharing, while giving a larger weight to a flow such as voice effectively turns it into priority control.
