BGP exchanged between routers with different AS numbers.
A BGP session that exchanges route information between different ASes. Used for interconnecting organizations; by default it assumes the neighbors are directly connected. Most implementations default the TTL to 1, so forming a neighbor relationship between devices that aren't directly connected requires an additional multihop setting (multihop BGP).
