BGP exchanged between routers within the same AS number.
A BGP session that shares route information between routers within the same AS. Unlike eBGP, a route learned via iBGP is not, by rule, re-advertised to another iBGP neighbor -- so an iBGP deployment needs either a full mesh connecting every router, or a route reflector acting as an aggregation point.
