Overview

A value indicating the trustworthiness of a route between different routing protocols.

Details

A numeric value indicating the trustworthiness of route information obtained from multiple routing protocols. A smaller value is preferred. Typical values are 0 for a directly connected route, 1 for a static route, 20 for eBGP, 110 for OSPF, and 120 for RIP -- this ordering effectively determines routing priority.
