Advertisement information conveying link state, exchanged between routers in OSPF.
Short for Link State Advertisement. Advertisement information exchanged between routers in OSPF to convey link state, from which the link-state database is built. There are several types, used for different purposes -- Type 1 (Router LSA) conveys a router's own information, while Type 2 (Network LSA), originated by the DR, conveys information about a multi-access network.
